it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

oh, it's been a wonderful weekend! :)

let me first say that last week was the start of finals.
finals week = stress week.

i had my government exam on wednesday morning, and my environmental science and spanish exams on friday morning. (i'd just like to add that it's the stupidest rule ever that 9am classes take final exams at 8am...) anyway, i don't have to take my last exam, and that means all i have left is my outdoor recreation project.

needless to say, i had been looking forward to this weekend since last monday.. and it was needed, very much so. here's a recap:

friday: after my exams i took a nap and then went to starbucks with emily, our new intern at the house. we got to talk and get to know each other a little better. then i went to dinner with britt and anita (who i hadn't seen in over THREE MONTHS). to finish the night off, me and my dad took his little brother ikeem to watch the nutcracker at the tivoli and then brought him back to our house for a while to see our new puppy. did i forget to mention that? ...dad got a puppy. he's a black lab and his name is wilson.

meet wilson.

saturday: first of all, i slept in and it was amazing. then i played with wilson all day. my family took my dad's parents out to dinner at buffalo wild wings for my grandpa's birthday. it was a lot of fun. i realized that my grandpa has turned into an old man. hahaha, he's so cute.

sunday: today was the youth's Christmas play at church. since some of the kids in the youth weren't able to make it, i had to fill in as a ragdoll (don't make fun). surprisingly, miranda and i were able to make it through the play without laughing! afterwards i went to lunch with my parents, miranda, katie, and libby. we had chinese.. yummmm! it snowed all morning while we were in church. when we got back from lunch the mountain was covered in snow! it was so pretty! the first snow of the season is always very exciting :)

now it really feels like Christmas time is here! i can officially listen to Christmas music without feeling silly for singing "let it snow" while driving around in the sunshine.

here's a few things i'm looking forward to this month:
  1. Christmas break --> 2 days
  2. tacky Christmas sweater party --> 5 days
  3. youth Christmas party --> 6 days
  4. big creek staff retreat --> 8 days
  5. Christmas eve --> 12 days
  6. Christmas day --> 13 days
  7. cruise --> 20 days
that's all, folks.
stay warm!
